Sweet Potatoes
Sweet Potatoes
Our sweet potatoes come in all different sizes and no size is better or worse than another. They are all harvested at the same time and then cured for a few weeks in our greenhouse to build their sugars. We no longer wash our sweet potatoes. We have found that they store much better un-washed.
Storage and Handling:
Sweet Potatoes store best in a dry, well-ventilated area around 55 to 65 degrees. Under good conditions they can be stored long-term. Otherwise, use them within a month.
Culinary Uses:
Sweet Potatoes can be baked, mashed, baked into a gratin, roasted, braised, added to soups and stews and baked into a pie.
