Chinese Cabbage
Chinese Cabbage is often overlooked by folks that aren’t particularly fond of cabbage, which is unfortunate since it’s quite different than a regular head of green or red cabbage. Chinese cabbage is much lighter, crisp, tender, sweet and unlike other denser cabbages, one head will only make one meal.
Storage and Handling:
Store your Chinese Cabbage in a loosely closed, dry plastic bag in your refrigerator for up to a week.
Also keep in mind that the delicate leaves of Chinese Cabbage cook much quicker than a regular head of red or green cabbage.
Culinary Uses:
Chinese Cabbage makes a wonderful Asian Slaw, can be added to any stir-fry, or sautéed with onions and garlic.
